預包裝食品指的是可以直接上架銷售，已經做好包裝，并且按照主管部門的要求已經準確標注生產日期，有效期，主要成分，生產商，進口商等。

目前絕大多數預包裝食品都是通過一般貿易進口，然后上架銷售，有一部分產品可以通過跨境電商保稅備貨，保稅直郵的方式進口銷售。

預包裝食品進口報關前需要報檢，檢驗檢疫需要的資料：

5、收發貨人在中國檢疫部門進口備案

7、檢疫部門所需食品清單，證書附頁表，承諾書，保證書，核準信息單等

檢驗檢疫批復通過后，內部自動轉入報關流程。

在貨主收到進口食品后，一定要按照檢疫部門要求送樣做檢，這個過程是必須。在此之前所有貨物不要隨意使用；經檢驗合格后，出入境檢驗檢疫局會核發衛生證書，一般為15-20個工作日，這個證書是為證明該批進口食品符合人類食用標準，可以進入市場銷售。
